Henson AL13 Aircraft Aluminum Mild

The AL13 Mild in Aircraft Aluminum combines a weight of 37 g with fixed blade support. A lightweight safety razor for those who prefer Henson’s mild version and classic double-edge blades.

Description

Made from anodised aluminium in Ontario, Canada, the AL13 holds the blade at a fixed 30° angle, without a moving head. Its geometry supports the cutting edge rather than relying on springs.

CNC machining, channels for clearing hair and shaving cream, and Type II anodising are practical elements of its design. The silver Aircraft Aluminum finish keeps the appearance understated.

How to use

Before shaving, soften the hair with water and shaving cream. Screw the handle fully closed: when it is left loose, the blade has greater exposure and less support.

Use light pressure. Rinse the head under running water or by moving it through water, without tapping it against the sink.

Compatibility

Takes standard double-edge (DE) blades without requiring proprietary replacement heads.

Care

After shaving, rinse thoroughly, loosen the handle by about one and a half turns so that the blade is no longer bent, and leave the razor on its side in a dry place outside the shower.

When changing the blade, clean gently with a soft toothbrush, water and soap. Dry before fitting a new blade. Avoid harsh cleaners and the dishwasher. If the thread does not turn smoothly, add one drop of oil to the handle thread.
