Synthetic or natural brush?

What is badger hair?
Badger hair has 4 grades: pure, best, super, silvertip (finest). Silvertip is softest and most luxurious. Simpsons and Truefitt & Hill have excellent badger brushes.
What knot size?
For face only, 21-24mm is ideal. For face + head, 26-28mm. Smaller has better control, larger covers faster. Omega offers a wide range of sizes.
How do I build lather?
Wet the brush with hot water, load cream or soap, and swirl in a bowl or directly on face. Add water gradually for desired consistency.
How do I care for the brush?
Rinse well after each use. Shake out water and let dry bristles-down on a stand. Never store wet — it can mold.
