The Story & Inspiration

The Cosmati were an Italian family of architects in the 12th and 13th centuries who, among other things, designed geometric and circular mosaic floors in cathedrals. The creators of House of Ilum were so taken by these patterns from their visits to cathedrals in Rome and Tuscany that they brought their own version to life in these porcelain candle vases.

Notes of aromatic incense, fonts of holy water, church flowers, amber and aged solid oak wood panelling bring the essence of these beautiful churches into your home.

How to Use

Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials. Trim the wick to 5-6mm before each lighting. Do not burn for more than 3-4 hours at a time. Allow to cool before relighting. Discontinue use when 1cm of wax remains. Keep away from children and pets.
