The company describes the scent as a trip back in time: classy gentlemen's clubs and the corner barbershop, jazz playing and cocktail glasses clanging. It draws on the classic gentlemanly fragrances of that period. One point worth clearing up: Stirling state plainly that their Clubman is not a dupe of Pinaud Clubman, but their own barbershop scent. The formula is the standard one across the range: denatured alcohol, witch hazel, aloe, vegetable glycerin and Hydrovance, with no animal-derived ingredients at all.
