MERKUR 37C Slant Heavy Duty

The MERKUR 37C Slant Heavy Duty is a two-piece safety razor with a slanted head and a short textured handle, for coarse, dense beards.

Features and function

The slanted geometry positions the cap and comb with a relative twist along the longitudinal axis. The blade is held more rigidly, while diamond knurling on the handle and its end helps with handling.

The brass handle is combined with a die-cast zinc head and polished electroplated chrome. The tool weighs 78 g, measures 81 × 41 × 25 mm and is made in Germany.

The head opening allows lather and hair to rinse away, keeping the blade area clear.

Directions

With your hands and the razor dry, turn the screw at the base anticlockwise and remove the cap. Hold the blade by its unsharpened sides, fit the new blade by aligning its holes with the locating pins, and secure clockwise without overtightening.

Wet the area with warm water and apply shaving soap or foam. Allow a few minutes for the hairs to soften. Move the razor in straight strokes, at approximately 30° to the skin, without additional pressure. Rinse the head between strokes.

Care

To remove greasy soap residue, use hair shampoo or mild washing-up liquid. Avoid acidic cleaners, as they damage the surfaces.

Precautions

Avoid circular movements or movements along the blade’s cutting edge, as they can cause injury.
