What's the difference between balm and lotion?
Balm is creamy, alcohol-free, intensely moisturizing — ideal for dry/sensitive skin. Lotion/splash is more liquid, often with alcohol, cools and tones — for normal/oily skin.
Do I need after shave?
Not mandatory but helps a lot. Soothes any irritation, closes pores, moisturizes, and leaves pleasant scent. Long-term improves skin health.
Is alcohol bad?
Not necessarily. Alcohol disinfects and closes pores. Modern splashes contain moisturizing ingredients too. If you have dry skin, choose balm or alcohol-free lotion.
How do I choose a scent?
Classic: Sandalwood, Lavender, Bay Rum. Fresh: Lime, Menthol. Complex: Tobacco, Leather, Oud. Stirling has huge variety. If wearing cologne, choose unscented after shave.
When do I apply?
Immediately after shaving. Rinse with cold water, pat dry gently (don't rub), apply a little after shave to face and neck. Let it absorb.
Do I need styptic too?
For small nicks, yes. Styptic stops bleeding, after shave moisturizes — they're complementary. Apply styptic first, then after shave.
