The Tatara Story
In September 2016, three mechanical engineer friends from Porto, Portugal - Luís Oliveira, André Guimarães and João Gomes - united to create something revolutionary. Inspired by ancient Japanese forge masters who crafted samurai swords, they chose the name TATARA (鑪) meaning "furnace" where steel was melted.
