Saponificio Varesino 80th Anniversary Shaving Soap

Formula and fragrance character

The edition marking Saponificio Varesino’s 80 years was presented at Esxence in 2025. Based on the Beta 4.3 formula, it is a triple-milled soap in an aluminium container.

PlantSil™ forms a thin protective film that helps reduce friction between blade and skin. It also contributes to moisture retention and the creation of dense, stable lather.

The woody fougère fragrance starts with bergamot, orange, lemon and grapefruit. Lavender, patchouli, cashmere wood and guaiac lead to a base of ambergris, cedar, myrrh and vanilla.

How to use

Cover the soap surface with a thin layer of warm water for a few minutes.

For a badger-hair brush, soak it, remove excess water and pour the water remaining on the soap into the bristles.

Load the brush on the soap for 20–30 seconds and create lather on the face or in a bowl, without extra water.
