MERKUR 30C Black

The MERKUR 30C is a three-piece safety razor with a short black handle, polished chrome finish and a closed-comb head.

Construction and function

The two-tone construction combines brass and black anodised aluminium in the handle with a die-cast zinc head. The metal surfaces are finished with electroplated polished chrome.

The tool has an overall length of 83 mm and a net weight of 58 g. The short handle allows flexible handling when defining beard contours.

It is made in Germany and takes classic double-edge blades. Disassembly into the handle, comb and cap gives access to the blade for replacement.

Directions

To fit the blade, unscrew the handle and carefully separate the cap and comb. Align the holes in the new blade with the cap’s locating pins, replace the comb and screw the handle into place without overtightening.

Wet the area with warm water and apply shaving soap or foam. Allow a few minutes for the hairs to soften. Move the razor in straight strokes, at approximately 30° to the skin, without additional pressure. Rinse the head between strokes.

Care

To remove greasy soap residue, use hair shampoo or mild washing-up liquid. Avoid acidic cleaners, as they damage the surfaces.

Precautions

Do not use circular movements or move along the cutting edge of the blade: these can cause injury.
