Henson AL13 Tan Mild

The AL13 Mild in Tan combines a warm bronze-toned finish with Henson’s standard, gentle rating. It weighs 37 g and takes classic double-edge blades.

Description

The fixed head holds the blade at a 30° angle, while its large channels allow hair and shaving cream to be rinsed away with water. Tan refers to the finish colour of this aluminium razor.

Manufacture in Ontario includes CNC machining and Type II anodising. The tapered 96 mm handle completes this lightweight tool without a moving head.

How to use

Before shaving, soften the hair with water and shaving cream. Screw the handle fully closed: when it is left loose, the blade has greater exposure and less support.

Use light pressure. Rinse the head under running water or by moving it through water, without tapping it against the sink.

Compatibility

Takes standard double-edge (DE) blades without requiring proprietary replacement heads.

Care

After shaving, rinse thoroughly, loosen the handle by about one and a half turns so that the blade is no longer bent, and leave the razor on its side in a dry place outside the shower.

When changing the blade, clean gently with a soft toothbrush, water and soap. Dry before fitting a new blade. Avoid harsh cleaners and the dishwasher. If the thread does not turn smoothly, add one drop of oil to the handle thread.
