Henson AL13 Jet Black Medium

The black AL13 Medium keeps the weight at 37 g and gives a more assertive shave than the standard AL13. The Jet Black version combines Medium geometry with the understated appearance of anodised aluminium.

Description

The blade is firmly supported in the head at a 30° angle, while its gap and exposure correspond to the Medium rating. The system uses one standard double-edge blade.

Made in Ontario using CNC machining, the razor has Type II anodising. The head’s channels allow hair and shaving cream to be rinsed away. The tapered handle is 96 mm long.

• Razor weight: 37 g.
• Handle: Length 96 mm. Diameter from 12.25 mm at the bottom end to 9.75 mm near the head.
• Medium geometry: Blade gap 0.85 mm. Blade exposure 0.058 mm.

How to use

Before shaving, soften the hair with water and shaving cream. Screw the handle fully closed: when it is left loose, the blade has greater exposure and less support.

Use light pressure. Rinse the head under running water or by moving it through water, without tapping it against the sink.

Compatibility

Takes standard double-edge (DE) blades without requiring proprietary replacement heads.

Care

After shaving, rinse thoroughly, loosen the handle by about one and a half turns so that the blade is no longer bent, and leave the razor on its side in a dry place outside the shower.

When changing the blade, clean gently with a soft toothbrush, water and soap. Dry before fitting a new blade. Avoid harsh cleaners and the dishwasher. If the thread does not turn smoothly, add one drop of oil to the handle thread.

Precautions

Collect used blades in a suitable blade disposal container and follow local disposal rules.
