Its primary ingredients are xylitol, bentonite clay and four essential oils: peppermint, chamomile, clove and salvia, with a little orange giving it the flavour. It foams less than most toothpastes, and that is deliberate, since the formula contains no SLS. The bentonite gently scrubs the surface of the enamel and works on surface discolouration from coffee, tea and wine. The tube opening is narrower than usual, so a pea-sized amount is what actually comes out.
