The Gimmo Etro Story
In 1968, Gerolamo "Gimmo" Etro founded the company as a textile manufacturer in Milan. A passionate collector with his wife Roberta, they had amassed 300 antique paisley shawls. In 1981 he introduced the paisley pattern that became the house's signature.
Family Dynasty
Today the company is run by Gimmo's four children: Jacopo (textiles and accessories), Kean (men's collection), Veronica (women's collection), and Ippolito (administration). Each member brings their passion to the creative process.
