The Legendary Meeting
In summer 1937, Albert Fouquet, son of a Parisian aristocrat and perfume connoisseur, met young John F. Kennedy on the French Riviera. JFK was captivated by Albert's fragrance, who left him a sample with the message: "In this bottle, you will find the dash of French glamour that your American personality lacks".
From JFK to Hollywood
Kennedy requested "eight samples and if your production allows, another one for Bob" - hence the name Eight & Bob. The fragrance quickly became famous in Hollywood, with stars like Cary Grant and James Stewart adoring it.
The Andrea Secret
In 1934, Albert traveled to Chile and discovered a rare plant he named Andrea. This plant, harvested only in December and January at high altitude, is the heart of the fragrance. Only 7% of plants pass the strict selection.
